In this interview, filmed at the Université Toulouse II-Le Mirail in December 2000, Scott Momaday talks about his experience as a writer, the relationship between literature and painting, autobiography and photography… He evokes the importance of landscape and the part played by history in his fiction. The writer also reads a poem and an extract from House Made of Dawn.
